Contract screen-printing service for industrial components

Precision Brazing Paste Screen Printing

Controlled screen printing of brazing paste for engineers and buyers who need repeatable placement on a suitable flat print area. Send your drawing or STEP/STP model for a project review.

SITAPRESS screen prints brazing paste and, where required, green stop-off. The printed area must be flat. Printed parts are checked, packed and returned; the customer performs brazing and furnace testing.

Project suitability

The Printed Area Must Provide a Flat Surface

The complete component can be complex. The specific face receiving the printed deposit must be flat and accessible to the screen.

Suitable for review

  • Flat, accessible print area
  • Defined paste pattern
  • Drawing or model available

Outside this service

Curved print areas, liquid application and spray application are not included in this screen-printing service.

Responsibility boundary

A Clear Hand-Off From Incoming Parts to Printed Parts

Customer provides

Components, drawing or model, required print zones, base material and brazing-process requirement, quantities and NDA need.

SITAPRESS provides

Technical review, procurement after specification, screen set-up, trial where required, screen printing, checks, packing and return.

Customer completes

Brazing and furnace/process testing after the printed parts return to production.

Process control

Control of Position, Deposit and Repeatability

The process route is set around the part, paste behaviour, required pattern and target layer defined in the technical documentation.

Positioning

The part is located so the print area aligns with the screen.

Printability

Paste form and behaviour are reviewed against the pattern and project.

Thickness

Settings follow the target in the customer documentation.

Repeatability

The released set-up carries into repeat production with monitoring.

Materials and supporting step

Material Selection Starts With the Customer’s Brazing Requirement

The customer specifies the required material from the base material and brazing process. SITAPRESS procures the selected material for the project, so the customer does not normally need to ship the paste.

Screen-printing feasibility for other paste types is reviewed against the project requirements and suitable paste form.

Green stop-off

Green stop-off can be screen printed as a supporting step on the flat printed area where required. Mark the required zones in the project information.

Project workflow

From Drawing Review to Returned Printed Parts

  1. 01Enquiry with STEP/STP model or drawing.
  2. 02Technical review of geometry, print zones and paste form.
  3. 03Customer material specification and SITAPRESS procurement.
  4. 04Screen set-up and trial where required.
  5. 05Customer review before repeat production where required.
  6. 06Repeat production with in-process quality checks.
  7. 07Packed parts and measurement report returned to the customer.

Information for the review

  • STEP/STP model or drawing
  • Marked paste and stop-off zones
  • Base material and brazing-process requirement
  • Trial and repeat quantities
  • NDA need

Quality control

Thickness and Cleanliness Checked Through the Run

Paste-layer thickness is a critical project parameter. The set-up follows the target and tolerance in the customer’s technical documentation, and thickness is monitored through the production run with a micrometer. Even a small unintended paste deposit can make a part unacceptable, so printed components receive a visual contamination check before dispatch. Measurement data are supplied with the returned parts.

Trial and release

Review a Trial Before Repeat Production Where Required

A trial or first sample can be prepared for customer review where required. Feedback is applied before the released set-up moves into repeat production.

Technical enquiry questions

What should I include with the first enquiry?

Provide the available STEP/STP model or drawing, base material and brazing-process requirement, marked paste and stop-off zones, quantities and NDA need. Missing information can be discussed during the technical review.

Does the whole component need to be flat?

No. Only the area to be screen printed must provide a suitable flat and accessible surface. The complete component may have a more complex shape.

Who specifies and supplies the brazing material?

The customer specifies the material from the base material and brazing process. SITAPRESS procures the selected material for the project, subject to project review and suitable paste form.

Can green stop-off be included?

Yes. Green stop-off can be screen printed as a supporting step on the flat printed area where required. Mark the required zones in the drawing or model information.

Can I send a STEP or STP file?

Yes. The enquiry form supports one PDF, PNG, JPG, STEP or STP file up to 10 MB. WordPress must be configured and tested to allow STEP/STP files before publication.

What happens after screen printing?

SITAPRESS checks, packs and returns the printed parts with measurement data. The customer completes brazing and furnace/process testing.

Can different order quantities be reviewed?

Yes. Any order quantity can be reviewed, from trial runs to repeat production. Feasibility and commercial terms are confirmed for the project.
